Chad Bills the Fins 13K, Blue wins 9-1

Published by papatr1x at 8:40 pm under Dodgers Edit This

Chad is great when he’s on his game. The only thing that has dogged him so far in his career is inconsistency. After serving up 5 earned runs last week to the Braves, he comes back with a 7 inning, 5 hit, 1 run performance. The thing you can count on from Billingsly is the strikeouts. With a career high 13 K’s today, he’s shown that he can befuddle free swingers with his nasty stuff. The only knock on him is when he starts to serve up walks, which cause him to run his pitch count too high and get him into some self-induced trouble. But I believe Chad has finally found his stride as the Dodgers’ ace, and we can count on him for an excellent second half.

The MVP: Chad Billingsley is just plain solid.

The good: Dodgers score an amazing 6 runs in the first inning. Just one of those games I guess.

The bad: Saito’s injury may be serious.
