The Dodgers win! The Dodgers win!

Published by papatr1x at 11:55 pm under Dodgers Edit This

Do you believe in Curses? The Cubs and their fans sure do. Again, we saw the Cubs become a train wreck of a team again as they brought embarassment to Wrigley just one more time. Those “slick” fielding errors were just due to a lack of focus and the need to try and do too much. The Cubs haven’t been able to win in almost a century and the pressure continues to build and build. The players they have are under a pressure that is just ridiculous. The Dodgers were in a similar situation to the Cubs, albeit it was 5 times less. The pressure was definitely there, but every since they brought in Torre and Manny, they bring a new type of focus that takes the pressure off everyone else. The only way the Cubs can get out of their rut is to put out a team composed of championship players. Go get proven winners as they can’t be cursed.

But on to today’s game. It looked almost like yesterdays, except for the miscues. The starting pitching dominated. The offense jumped out early. And we continued to press on and make it a blowout. One interesting point in the game came in the ninth as Saito was definitely uneffective. Broxton should be the closer from now on, and especially against the Cubs, as they can’t hit a power right arm if their century long curse depended on it.
