What an efficient game played by the Blue today. It only took 2 and a half hours to put the Rockies away. Kershaw was definitely efficient in his 6 innings. He struck out 7 and only walked 2. Park and Broxton picked up right after him and struck out 6 more Rockies. Another point of interest is that Manny didn’t have to do a thing today and Ethier got the day off. Blake and Berroa picked up the slack today. Have to credit Coletti on those other two acquisitions. Maddux goes tomorrow and if he can have a solid outing, we are definitely in great shape.
The good: The D’backs keep losing. We are up 4.5 games.
The bad: All is good these days. I hope that wasn’t a jinx.

Nice game by the youngsters today. I guess Ethier and Manny can’t carry the team every game. It’s definitely going to take a contribution from the likes of Loney and Kemp for the Blue to go anywhere in the playoffs. They both have incredible talents and potential that is so far not achieved. That’s why every time Torre decides to send out the old aging vets, it is a huge disappointment. But it’s really nice to get the 1st game out of the way against the Rockies. Holiday and Hawpe always kill us and they tried again today. But Billingsley set the tone as the ace of the staff by snuffing the Rox attempts. Solid game from him even though he struggled today.
The good: Kemp and Loney.
The bad: The D’backs won.

The first couple of weeks will be my spring training as I work out the kinks in my swing. I will primarily focus on the MLB, especially my Dodgers, but will also cover Southern California teams such as the Angels and two premiere college baseball teams in the Cal State Fullerton Titans and the UC Irvine Anteaters. However, since both were eliminated in the Super Regionals of the CWS, any updates will be several months down the road. I will definitely cover fantasy baseball as I am a hardcore player. I will have an occasional blurb about the Lakers and basketball as well as thoughts on all sports in general. Stick around as this blog gains some momentum!
